Organism creates fuel from sunlight, water and CO2
March 26, 2011
No, we’re not genetic engineers here, but while going through Google Insights for Search today I came across some interesting and hopeful news for the future. Joule Unlimited in Boston Mass., is on the forefront of the renewable bio-energy field via a genetically modifed organism that converts sunlight, water and carbon dioxide into eco diesel.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company says it can manipulate the organism to produce the renewable fuels on demand at unprecedented rates, and can do it in facilities large and small at costs comparable to the cheapest fossil fuels.
Although its still in its infancy, a few more Google searches reveal various news releases documenting the company’s growth, several high profile director/management additions and the recent lease of a 7000 sq ft space. Hats off and good luck to Joule Unlimited.

This is remarkable; it would seem that Joule Unlimited has re-invented photosynthesis, and removed fossilization from the fuel equation!
