Captured Movements

July 19, 2010

iographica movement captureI gave iographica a try today, mostly because the illustrations I have seen created using it I liked and felt had kind of an Organism’ish type feel. The app simply records your mouse movements and clicks into a drawing while you work or play.

The network of lines represent the path of the mouse, in contrast to other drawings, I have noticed that my lines are considerably smoother, which I suspect is due to the fact that I am using a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet (I couldn’t live without it). The circles represent click points. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when I actually am drawing in my favourite drawing app,  Autodesk Sketch Pad Pro. The wide format of the illustration can be explained by my surface area is stretched across two monitors.

Above is cropped from the original and is at 100% zoom.
